Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama told thousands of supporters Sunday he would "work every single day" to avoid a repeat of the Wall Street meltdown and attacked Republican John McCain as out of touch with middle-class economic struggles.Obama spoke supportively of the bailout deal reached early this morning by negotiators in Washington on spending as much as $700 billion to shore up shaky financial markets. But he declared the financial crisis "the final verdict" on a failed Republican economic philosophy.
